"I have known Dr. Yanal Ahmad Alkuddsi for over past 6 year's period when he did his Master degree from Bangalore and PhD from University of Agricultural Sciences Dharwad. He has worked on Development of Heterotic Groups of cotton under my guidance and his work has generated valuable information on exploitation of these heterotic groups for improvement of Interspecific (ELS) hybrids of cotton.

I have admired his ability to accept challenges and work hard till the goal is reached. Despite facing problems he managed to dedicate himself fully to complete the assigned objectives of exploiting Hirsutum Vs Barbadense heterotic groups and he also worked on Molecular diversity among the lines representing heterotic groups. He has identified some good barbadense lines which are improved for both productivity and fiber quality.

He has some important traits required for successful research. He is active, hard working and has ability acquire required knowledge in genetics, plant breeding and molecular genetic techniques.

I wish that he gets opportunity to work with reputed cotton institutions and turns out more valuable work in the crop.

I wish him all the best".

Syria Is often described as the largest small country in the world because of its wealth of ancient civilizations. Modern man is indebted to this land for much of his thought and learning. Therefore it is properly said that every cultured man belongs to two nations -his own and Syria.
